a strategy to overcome it.

Loneliness~ The longer you are in a Season of Caring the more isolated you are likely to become. It is easy to lose yourself in the everyday needs of your loved one. Often times friends stop calling and we stop reaching out to them due to concerns of feeling like a burden.

Coping: Find ways to get out and do something other than taking care of someone. Find out about options for respite or day stay programs, you can find a way to have regular breaks from the responsibility of caregiving. Widen your circle of support- search out help from neighbors, your church, or distant relatives to find the support you need to help you reengage with the world.
